Moody Blues Album Art

I may eventually share my fan mix of this fine album but until then, here is some retouched scans of the 1986 US CD art. I attempted to reduce the seams that occurred from aging and wear.

If you can find the 1986 and 1997 versions of their albums, I highly recommend it. I am very disappointed in how their recent "deluxe" editions are sounding on a regular CD player. They have mastered this album too loudly which is causing unwanted compression, and making it very hard to hear the little details that the group put so much thought in to. Basically, every "Deluxe Edition" I have purchased is too loud on regular CD players.

This is my favorite album of all time. I would LOVE to hear your fan mix. Could you please upload it??? Pretty please? I'm extremely curious to hear it.

I just realized my "fan mix" doesn't differ enough from the released versions. I liked the original production well enough that I only changed the equalization on the tracks, and added reverb to the deluxe edition. So I don't think it would be a good idea to share it.

Too bad for me then. Oh well.

If you tell me how to contact you, I could let you have a copy, I just don't feel right sharing it with too many people since it is in print.

Oh, I just now checked this again...Well, my email is dawningistheday@yahoo.com, so you could send it via sendspace or one of those, I guess. I'm still interested in hearing it.

I made a fan mix of the 1980s CD and a remix of the Deluxe edition, which would you prefer Dave? I honestly can't tell which one is better, although the Deluxe edition is definitely a bit louder.

If they're equally good, I would pick the older 80's issue since it's a bit quieter, though either one is fine with me.
